The maid of honor is a great option to have speaking first or second during the ceremony. Since the maid of honor will have a unique dress, and will be right there by the side of the bride, it just makes sense to have her go first or second. This is interchangeable with the best man, mind you.
Parents of the Wedding Party
You can select one parent from each party to say a speech. Or you could go with one person from either side of the wedding party. You’ll find that this is a solution that is very well worth exploring on a deeper level. It’s something that you’ll want to have third and fourth if you’re going to go with both parents. Whatever the case may be, you’ll want to make sure that the parents are given free platform to discuss the wedding party, the wedding, and hopes for the future.
Shaking Things Up
Overall, you may want to look into several different options in regard to wedding speeches. You don’t need to go with one option over the others. You could very well shake things up and have speeches that are mixed up, and go on throughout the day.
